The Experience

The Blue Train: South Africa’s Iconic Luxury Experience. The Blue Train is widely regarded as one of the most luxurious train journeys in the world. Route: The primary route runs between Cape Town and Pretoria, covering approximately 1,600 kilometres (994 miles) over a two-night journey. The trip takes about 54 hours, including stops and an off-train excursion in Kimberley to visit the Big Hole and Diamond Mine Museum.
